paradox of mtv

wow my comp is constantly suffering setbacks
breakdown after breakdown i don't know how much longer would it hold=(

oh btw while on my way home tt day frm pasir ris mrt, it stumbled upon me that the walkway towards the interchange has been commercialised! a row of shops selling an array of f0od from baos to kuehs! noodle to rice! hand food to sit down on table eat food!

and there right at a corner was this old malay lady selling curry puff from a carton box
and i recalled that before this shops pop out! the walkway was filled with uncles selling $1 ice cream from mobile ice cream 'vehicles'=D ( i dono whuts it called) ,malay aunties selling curry puff similar to that auntie and aunties and uncles selling fruits at those 'take 10 mins to set up stalls'. besides that! there were uncles selling those fried chestnuts thingy and now their all gone! replaced by shops that will always be there day after day

i thought it was kinda sad cause the food vendors of yester-few mths ago sold cheap nice food! 3 curry puffs for a dollar! ice cream for a dollar! fruits for like $2( around dere nv buy b4 hehe) and now its shops selling curry puffs like 1 for $1? eg. old chang kee and these shops has displaced the cheap food vendors

not really drawing upon it being cheaper but its kinda sad how these kinda road side vendors are diminishing at an increasing pace, replaced and displaced. the auntie selling curry puff that dya looked like she had alot left so i bought a packet of 3 from her heh but i dono if i'll be able to get this kinda food anytime soon

ooh btw tat day i witnessed the stupidity and arrogance of singaporeans hahaha!

you know the road junction between dhoby mrt and mcdoanld hse, the place where theres long johns

{mrt} (traffic light junction) mcdonald hse
bus stop I_______________I [ ]

hahhaa so anyways there were 4 traffic police, 2 stationed at each side! with 2 motorbikes, 1 a side hahhaa! and den rite! the light was red and ppl still JAY WALK den they happy happy waaa police man doing nothin 1 la wun catch me tis kinda small stupid ting

hahaha! den wen they reach e opposite side they tot WAA they really nv catch but den
the policeman/policewoman walk towards them and fined dem! hahahaa! took down their ic and all den while the rest of us oh-so-law-abiding-citizens pass the oh-so-alamak-people can notice the smiles and ppl secretly luffing over those ppl who got fined hahhaa!

moreover, on my way back and cross that lane again! 2 more ppl jay walk! n they got fined! alamak whuts wrong wif these ppl! traffic police wear white got 2 motorbike 4 of dem stand dere still jay walk!

ok la maybe they very rebel very cool la very cool

heh omg im so mean but very omg hahhaa oh newae ronan keating made a cover of IRIS and it sounds horrible! yeeeee

btw don n kmc! i haven been online cuz my comp spoil hahhaa i miss u tooo! =)!! hugs and kisses!! hahaha =D

oh newae mtv is a paradox

-it actively encourage and promotes safe sex but then the music videos themselves encourages sex or portrays its encouragement for it and they dont seem very safe leh
-they actively promote unicef and helping victims of this that this help donations! using celebrities to put this idea forward but these ceelbrities are earning billions of dollars and their asking ppl hu earn thousands to contribute while these superstars earn millions and instead of helping charity, they spend it away( ok altho they do donate but its really quite little as compared to the salaries their earning like they earn billions and contribute 1 million)
-besides that, shows like viva la bam depicts people spending hordes of money on things and then breaking them and conflicts with the message mtv is bringing forward
'help the needy, we need your $$'
and their showing shows like
'spend your $$! for self indulgence and waste it all'

oh well life is a paradox and we often say more than we practice
